Chelsea are making serious waves in the transfer market as they prepare an €80 million bid for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes, with the Brazilian reportedly open to a new challenge.
According to reports from Fichajes, the Blues have already initiated contact with Real Madrid via intermediaries, as they look to make Rodrygo a marquee signing for new boss Enzo Maresca. The 23-year-old has impressed with 23 goal contributions this season and could be tempted by a starring role in a fresh Premier League project.
Premier League Clubs Circle, But Chelsea Lead the Race
While Arsenal have also been tracking Rodrygo, their priority remains a top-tier striker, and Madrid’s asking price—rumoured to exceed €100 million—could push the Gunners out of the race. Manchester City are also interested, but Chelsea seem the most proactive, already setting the groundwork for negotiations.
With Champions League qualification still a determining factor, Chelsea know they’ll face stiff competition for Rodrygo’s signature. However, Maresca sees the Brazilian as a key piece in rebuilding the attack and injecting flair into the final third.
Blues Considering Alternatives Too
The West London club are also monitoring Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as a possible alternative, especially with uncertainty surrounding Jadon Sancho’s future.
For now, though, it’s clear: Chelsea are going big, and Rodrygo Goes is very much on their radar. Whether he ends up at Stamford Bridge could come down to timing, ambition—and a hefty cheque.
