Kyle Richards is heading back to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the news came straight from Andy Cohen’s mouth… even if he didn’t mean to say it.
During a recent appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends, Cohen joined host Jenna Bush Hager to celebrate the casting of fashion icon Rachel Zoe on the upcoming season of RHOBH. But in the middle of the excitement, Cohen casually confirmed a major casting detail fans had been waiting for: Richards is returning for Season 15.
“Is Kyle coming back?” Bush Hager asked.
“Kyle is coming back,” Cohen said, before quickly realizing what he’d just revealed. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to announce that. But she is, thank you.”
The unplanned confirmation comes after months of speculation. Following an emotionally intense Season 14, which centered around Richards’ separation from longtime husband Mauricio Umansky, the OG housewife had been publicly questioning whether she’d return.
“I honestly don’t know,” she told fans during a previous appearance. “I was really struggling during filming. I needed space to figure things out.”
Viewers watched as Richards navigated life post-separation — including Umansky moving out and starting to date again — with Bravo cameras capturing every moment. The rawness of it all left her unsure whether she was ready to sign on for another season.
But now, thanks to Cohen’s slip-up, fans can rest easy knowing she’s back. And according to him, the rest of the cast is mostly staying put too — with the addition of Rachel Zoe, who already has deep connections in the group.
“The great thing is she legitimately knows [Bozoma Saint John], Sutton [Stracke], Jennifer Tilly, so she knows them and she’s in that universe, so she’s gonna fit right in,” Cohen said.
However, one familiar face won’t be returning. Garcelle Beauvais announced earlier this year that she’s stepping away from the show after five seasons.
Between Richards’ unexpected return and Zoe’s fashion-forward debut, Season 15 of RHOBH is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing yet.
