Coco Gauff has won the French Open at long last. The tennis superstar, 21, bested No. 1 ranked Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday, June 7. Gauff lost the first set 6-7 but rallied to win the next two sets 6-2 and 6-4, respectively. The duo previously met in the 2023 World Open, which Gauff also won.
The match was the first to feature a No. 1 and No. 2 seeded player in Paris since Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova faced off in 2013.
Gauff shared two photos in her Instagram Story that offered glimpses into her tournament determination. One was a photo of her hand holding a piece of paper that reads, “I will win French Open 2025” several times. Gauff explained, “Ignore my handwriting but i saw @gabbythomas do this. Had to do the same lol.”

The second photo was a screenshot of a note Gauff saved in her phone. The original note, dated June 8, 2021, read, “I had a dream last night that I will win french open idk if it is true or if it is this years french open but [i] had a dream abt it.” She captioned the second photo, “ignore the typos but look at date. If you can dream it, you can do it.”

Gauff made a big coaching change in September 2024 when she split from Brad Gilbert, who announced the news on X. “Thanks 🙏 to @CocoGauff and the entire team for an absolutely amazing summer run in 2023 and for 14 months of incredible team effort,” he wrote at the time. “Coco, at just 20 years young, your future is incredibly bright, and I wish you nothing but continued success ahead. I’m excited for the next chapter in my coaching career.”
Gilbert began working with Gauff in July 2023 as a co-coach alongside Spain’s Pere Riba. Gilbert, who previously coached tennis phenoms Andre Agassi, Andy Murray and Andy Roddick, helped the young tennis star reach her all-time top ranking of No. 2 in the summer of last year.

It was with Gilbert at her side that Gauff won her first Grand Slam in September 2023 as well as three more titles, including the U.S. Open. But she failed to medal at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.
Gauff’s experiences at the French Open have not always been positive. In 2024, she approached the chair umpire to dispute a call against her. “I never argue these calls. But [the line judge] called it out before I hit the ball,” Gauff said to chair umpire Jaume Campistol. “It’s not even a perception; it’s the rules.”
With tears streaming down her face, Gauff told the umpire, “It always happens here at the French Open to me. Every time.” After the controversial call, Gauff went on to lose the match to Vekić in straight sets, 7-6, 6-2.

Chris Pratt has a new look, and fans are not quite sure what to make of it.The actor, who is currently filming the second season of The Terminal List, shared a video update from the set of the series via Instagram on Friday, June 6. Pratt, 45, was sporting shaggy, long hair and an equally unruly mustache and beard — which he quickly revealed were props.
“What’s up, everybody?” he asked. “It’s me, Chris, and I’m having lunch. I’m on the set of The Terminal List, season 2 based on the book, A True Believer. Anyways, this is my lunch, and I just wanna say, isn’t this hair and makeup incredible? My team does such an awesome job, look at, I don’t wanna tell you what I’ve been up to, but there’s blood on my hands.”
“And my team is awesome, they do such great makeup and such great hair. And this is, this mustache is hair as well, it’s like a wig, it’s a fake beard, it looks freaking incredible,” Pratty continued. “And the crazy thing about wearing a fake mustache for a fake beard is when you eat, you get hair in your mouth, which is gross. Because it’s definitely someone else’s hair, and you don’t know whose, where it came from. I mean, look at that hair, that came from what? I mean, is that, that’s not, you don’t think it’s, no. Is this someone’s pubes? No. Anyways, I don’t care, I’m hungry.”

When Pratt isn’t rocking an unruly look for the cameras, he and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger are walking various red carpets in style. The pair stepped out together at the premiere of his movie The Electric State back in February. Both wore spring-like ensembles, with Pratt sporting a dusty lavender suit and white dress shoes while Schwarzenegger, 35, looked chic in a strapless black top and black pants with white floral embroidery. She accessorized with white heels and minimal jewelry.

The Netflix movie also stars Millie Bobby Brown and Stanely Tucci. The premiere was the first event Pratt and Schwarzenegger have attended since the birth of their son, Ford, in November 2024. The pair, who tied the knot in June 2019 after one year of dating, also share daughters Lyla, 4, and Eloise, 2. (Pratt is also the father of son Jack, 12, whom he shares with first wife Anna Faris. He and Faris, 48, were married from 2009 to 2018.)
In 2022, Schwarzenegger told Us Weekly she’d love to have a big family. “I love the idea of having a lot of kids around and a big family,” she said at the time. “Whatever God has in his plan for us is what we’ll do.”
“I feel really lucky to be able to have obviously an amazing role model in my mom, and just being able to see how she balances it all,” she added. “Just learning from her, being able to bounce things off of her and, at the end of the day, just knowing that family time is the most important time.”

Veep fans are everywhere — and sometimes, so are the show’s stars!Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared an Instagram Story on Friday, June 6, revealing the moment she caught a fellow passenger on a flight watching the hit series, which aired on HBO from 2012 to 2019, without a clue that its star actress was seated nearby.
“Today on my flight this guy watched back to back episodes of @veephbo,” she captioned the Story. “He had no idea I was sitting right behind him.”
“I just loved making that show,” Louis-Dreyfus added.

The cast of Veep remained close after the show ended in 2019. In July 2024, co-star Tony Hale spoke to Us Weekly exclusively about the most recent text he and Louis-Dreyfus had exchanged.
“It’s funny because when we text, we typically never talk about the show,” he shared at the New York City premiere of his Netflix series, The Decameron, on July 24.

Hale told Us he often sends Louis-Dreyfus life updates instead. “My daughter just graduated high school, so we always talk about stuff, life, and [enjoy] the simplicity,” he shared. “We’ve lived so much life together, so we just kind of send each other [anything].”
Hale starred as Gary Walsh, the personal aide to Louis-Dreyfus’ Selina Meyer, on all seven episodes of the popular series.
Louis-Dreyfus can more recently be seen in Marvel’s Thunderbolts* alongside Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan. She reprises her role as La Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine, aka Val. She first appeared in the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, again in the post-credits scene of Black Widow, and was featured in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the movie in April, Louis-Dreyfus pointed out that her success has disputed the myth of the so-called “Seinfeld curse.”

“Yeah, I’m having a laugh now. It was ridiculous then, and fortunately, it’s really been dropped,” she said at the time. “It was so silly. Like you said, it was a media invention, but it made no sense. It did not make logical sense.”
Louis-Dreyfus starred on the popular sitcom from 1989 to 1998. Television media coined the term “Seinfeld curse” after the show’s conclusion to explain why the show’s stars — including Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards — were seemingly unable to find additional success.
In the years that have followed, Louis-Dreyfus has built a strong career in both television and film. Her other credits include The New Adventures of Old Christine and You Hurt My Feelings.
